It is the year 4000. Planet Earth is plagued by attacks from galactic invaders – the Trecons. Millions of people feel threatened in this unequal struggle. The aggressors possess more advanced weapons and are increasingly ruthless. One of Earth’s reconnaissance satellites intercepted signals indicating that the Trecons are preparing for a final showdown with the human race. This will be a massive attack intended to annihilate our planet. Such a scenario – though from the distant future – today provides an ideal backdrop for modern developmental tools, such as business simulation games that allow participants to take on the roles of future leaders.
Representatives of the Earth Council, which makes strategic decisions on behalf of all humanity, urgently convened an extraordinary meeting. It was decided that the only salvation is to build a protective shield around Earth. Scientists from the Interplanetary Agency developed super-advanced technology several years ago that would make this possible. It uses Antrix crystals, trace amounts of which were found on Earth after the fifth stellar explosion. Too small, however, to construct a shield. Tests confirmed that the shield would be virtually indestructible, even in the face of a massive Trecon attack. The only known deposits of Antrix are on the planet Avalone – 30 million light-years from Earth. A few decades ago, this distance was insurmountable, but now it is achievable thanks to a super-drive enabling a hyperspace jump. This provides an excellent setting for anyone wishing to develop managerial and communication competencies through dynamic, engaging, and realistic corporate games. The Earth Council decided that an expedition to Avalone must be organized immediately. Due to the risks involved, several crews have been enlisted, each to fly their own Defender 4 starship. The game participants will form the crews. It’s up to them to save the world from destruction.Cosmos 4000: Mission to Avalone is a fully-fledged proposal in the game-based learning category – focused on cooperation, decision-making, and adapting to changing conditions.
The Cosmos 4000. Mission to Avalone experiential learning program features a magnificent artistic setting that will fully immerse participants in the distant future of the year 4000. They will experience the atmosphere of an intergalactic journey with all their senses, as if they were truly there. High-quality props, thematic costumes, and the starry sky of the universe will create a unique atmosphere. The facilitators’ mysterious narrative and evocative cosmic music will complete the experience.
